Deborah C. Fontaine has been appointed interim vice chancellor for student affairs at Elizabeth City State University.
The appointment was announced Wednesday by Chancellor Mickey L. Burnim. Fontaine will replace Leon S. White, who recently resigned as vice chancellor for student affairs after serving in the position for 12 years.
``The university appreciates Dr. White's years of service and owes him a debt of gratitude for the contributions he made over the years,'' Burnim said.
Burnim said a national search would begin immediately to permanently fill the position before the spring semester. by CNB
