Vivian Berscak, postmaster of the Manteo post office, double-checks

key numbers recently at the new 9,000-square-foot building,

scheduled to open Sept. 13 at Chesley Mall on U.S. Route 64/264. The

old post office building on Queen Elizabeth Avenue is closing. ``We

worked very hard to keep everybody's number the same. It should be a
