On Aug. 29, you printed a picture of John Hudgins Jr. and Frank Young on the front page of your Metro section.
It was an article about the state of Virginia blaming the Chesapeake Fire Department for the deaths of these two men.
If you have to print your article, that's all well and good, but I just ask that you leave the pictures and names of the two men out of the paper. Both the families of Hudgins and Young have gone through enough of this. Why can't it all be put to rest?
Print your findings that's fine, but let us have a chance to heal. It seems when we start to feel better, then, out of the blue, we pick up the paper and see our loved ones and it's just like it's happening all over again.
There's no way we can forget Johnny and Frank. We just want to forget what happened.
JOHN R. HUDGINS SR.
