CITY COUNCIL AGENDA

PUBLIC HEARING

A public hearing will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in Council Chambers, Portsmouth City Hall. The following business will be considered:

Park View Neighborhood - Request by Jay Smallwood and Sharon Dockery to rezone property at 254 Hatton St. from Historic Residential HR to Historic Limited Office HLO.

Churchland Neighborhood - Request by Lewis White, agent for GTE Mobilnet, for a use permit to install a communication tower at 3000 Tyre Neck Road.

Downtown - Use-permit application of the Portsmouth Community Development Group to construct duplexes at 705, 709 and 719 Washington St., deferred from the Public Hearing meetings of Feb. 12 and March 11.

CITY COUNCIL MEETING The following business will be considered at the 7 p.m. Tuesday meeting:

Ordinance to appropriate $577,671, with $75,053 from the Public Utility Capital Improvements Fund and $502,618 from the Capital Improvements Fund, for Phase IV of street improvements in the Brighton/South Portsmouth area.

Motion to award the Phase IV street improvements construction contract to Peters and White Construction Co.

Motion to transfer $146,223 from the Grants Contingency Account to fund a family centered, community-based center for children and families. This center is part of the Portsmouth Interagency Network's Youth Prevention Plan and will be operated by the Planning Council.

Motion rescheduling the Oct. 22 council meeting to Oct. 15 and rescheduling the Nov. 11 council meeting to Nov. 12. by CNB
