DONALD B. RICHARDSON

Donald Bruce Richardson died in his home on Sept. 4, 1996.

A native of Waverly, he was the son of the late Alphonso F. Richardson and Lula V. Robertson Richardson and the widower of Mary Sue Richardson. Mr. Richardson was retried from Union Camp Corp. He served his country during World War II on Saipan in the Pacific with the 20th Air Force-73rd Bomb Wing. He was a member of the Franklin Congregational Christian Church.

Survivors include his brother, Roy A. Richardson of Suffolk; four nephews, Bob Richardson of Suffolk, Howard Richardson of Springfield, Randy Richardson of Miami, and Bill Richardson of London; five nieces, Shirley Fitzgerald of Newport News, Edith Smith of Virginia Beach, Susan Jones of Montpelia, Mary Frances Wilczek of Massachusetts, and Stuart Dopp of Alexandria.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Cedar Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Lafayette T. Wilkins. The family will receive friends in the R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday. Memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 5, 139 S. Saratoga St., Suffolk, Va. 23434, or the Franklin Congregational Christian Church, 412 N. High St., Franklin, Va. 23851, or to the American Cancer Society, 902 Pennsylvania Ave., Suffolk, Va. 23434.
