Robert R. ``Bob'' Brown, 93, formerly of 911 Godwin Ave., South Norfolk, Chesapeake, died Sept. 5, 1996.
Mr. Brown was born Feb. 22, 1903, in Live Oak, Fla., and moved to Florida nine years ago. He was a retired bulk oil supervisor for Gulf Oil Corp. of Norfolk. He was a member of Raleigh Heights Baptist Church of Chesapeake and Masonic Lodge N. 339 F&AM of South Norfolk.
Survivors include a daughter, Bobbie Brown Mize; a son, Rodney ``Rod'' Brown, both of Punta Gorda; a sister, Ruby Harrison Anderson of Clarkesville, Tenn.; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Private services and emtombment were held at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte, Florida. The family requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity. Arrangements were handled by Roberson Funeral Home, Punta Gorda.
