William L. Scellato, 67, died Aug. 27, 1996.
A native of Norfolk, Mr. Scellato was a firefighter for the City of Norfolk, retiring in 1988 with 27 years of service. He was a Baptist and a member of the O.D.U. Booster Club. He was a veteran of the U.S. Airborne, One Hundred and Eleventh Division and World War II.
Survivors include his brother, O. Charles Scellato of Norfolk.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Lamar Sentell. The family will receive friends in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
