ANNA E. COAKLEY

Anna Elizabeth Coakley, died Saturday, Sept. 7, 1996, at the Denville Campus of the Northwest Covenant Medical Center following a long illness. She was 84.

Mrs. Coakely was born in Elizabeth, where she lived her entire life. She was a retired bookkeeper for the County of Union in Elizabeth, where she worked for 25 years before retiring in 1972. She was an active life member of the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Elizabeth (now known as ``Our Lady of Fatima''), and was a volunteer at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Elizabeth for many years.

She was predeceased by her husband, William J. in 1947 and is survived by her two sons, William F. of Virginia Beach and Leo J. of Succasunna, N.J. She also leaves her brother, the Rev. Francis Mahon, SVD of Bordentown, N.J.; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, Succasunna, followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Therese R.C. Church. Interment will 2 p.m. in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Newark. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Donations may be made to the Society of the Divine Word Missionaries, Park St., Bordentown, N.J. 08505.
