CANCER PATIENTS: FIGHT THE SYSTEM

When insurance companies get so much power that they can and do tell doctors when and how to treat a patient, then it's time to rebel against them.

A case in point: the four cancer doctors who are now fighting this action (``Doctors challenging Sentara for control of patient practices,'' news, Aug. 15). Cancer patients have enough problems without having the worry of changing from the doctor they know and trust.

So support these four doctors and any doctor who thinks that it should be patients first and insurance companies last. Let your representative and senator know how you feel.
