Commodore ``Bay-Bay'' Jenkins, 52, of the 1400 block of Bayberry Place, died Sept. 7, 1996 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Born in Norfolk to Commodore and Charity Penn Jenkins, he was a retired ceramics specialist in Jersey City, N.J.
He is survived by his son, Alonva ``Bam'' Alexander and daughter-in-law, Vivian Renee Alexander; three grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Jean Cherry, Ms. Zelma Jenkins of Norfolk, Mrs. Rosa Gordon, Mrs. Jessie Mae Oliver of Chesapeake and Mrs. Doretha Allen of Florida. He is also survived by three brothers, Isiaih Penn, Cecil Jenkins and Thomas Jenkins of Norfolk; also a host of devoted brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
A Wake service will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday in the Metropolitan Funeral Home, Berkley, Norfolk.
