Phillip D. ``Phil'' Morris Jr., of Shanks Street, died Sept. 6, 1996. He was a member of the United House of Prayer.
Survivors include his mother, Susie Morris of Norfolk; three daughters, Gwendolyn Debrew of Suffolk, Phyllis McCoy and Juanita McPherson of Norfolk; four sons, Reginald Morris of Suffolk, Dale McCoy of New Jersey, Federick Smith and Melvin Taylor of Norfolk; three sisters, Viola Washington of Norfolk, Mildred Flowers of Connecticut, Joyce Huff of Virginia Beach; a brother, Ronald Morris of Virginia Beach; 11 grandchildren; five nieces; two nephews; a devoted cousin, Paul Harris; an adopted sister, Mary Taylor; an adopted brother, Lawrence Harris; a special friend, Sheila Smith; and a host of other relatives and devoted friends.
A funeral will be held at noon Wednesday in the United House of Prayer, 1206 Church St. Eulogy will be given by Apostle LaFayette Flowers. Assistant Pastor Elder W. Barry will officiate. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. A wake service will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today in Graves Funeral Home. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
