LEOLA A. MOOK

Leola Aileen (Medsker) Mook, 77, died Sept. 8, 1996, at 11:20 a.m. in Waldron Health Care Home.

Mrs. Mook was born on Nov. 18, 1918, in Shelby County, Ind. On April 4, 1942, she married Chester O. Mook, who died on Oct. 9, 1979. A high school graduate, she was employed by Waldron Die Co. from 1972 until her retirement in 1987. She was a life-long Shelby County-Rush County resident.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. William G. ``Gilbert'' (Kay Ann) Laws of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her father, Norton Medsker; her mother, Mirl G. (McClure) Medsker; and a daughter.

A funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Carmony-Ewing Broadway Funeral Home, Shelbyville, Ind., by the Rev. Mike Saddler and the Rev. Sarah Chandler. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Interment will be in Van Pelt Cemetery, Shelby County. Memorial contributions may be made to the Waldron Volunteer Fire Department.
