EDWARD H. PURNELL JR.

Edward Henry ``Bud'' Purnell Jr., 41, of the 700 block of St. Bernard Square, died Sept. 8, 1996.

He worked in quality control at Blackhawk Industries. A Catholic, he was born in Providence, R.I. He was a former respiratory therapist at Chesapeake General Hospital; was a medical corpman in the U.S. Navy and worked for Zero's Subs.

He is survived by his loving wife, Therea JoAnn Purnell; a daughter, Joy; three stepdaughters, Jennifer, Christal and Christina; a son, Robert; two stepsons, Delmar II and Troy; a sister, Kathleen MacDonald of Hanover, N.H.; and two grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, is in charge.
