Robert Bryant Hart Sr., 75, died Sept. 9, 1996, in his residence.
Born in Oxford, N.C., he retired from AT&T after 43 years of service. He was a member of Freemason Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Simpson Hart; a son, Edward D. Hart of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Emelyn Tillery of Suffolk, Mamie Forbes of Boykins, Va.; a grandson, Jeremy Hart of Virginia Beach. He was predeceased by a daughter and a son, Diane H. Galanides and Robert B. Hart Jr.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Donald J. Dunlap in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Freemason Street Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1739, Norfolk, Va. 23501.
