Vera Lee Daughtrey, 85, died Sept. 9, 1996, in her residence.
Born in Norfolk, she was the widow of Edward L. Daughtrey. She was a member of Cradock United Methodist Church, Deep Creek Senior Citizens and Indian River Senior Citizens.
Survivors include a son, Walter E. Daughtrey of Chesapeake and daughter-in-law, Virgie Daughtrey of Chesapeake; three grandchildren; and a step-grandchild.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Michael Robbins in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Hwy. Chapel, on Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. and at 3016 Darius Court, Chesapeake, at all other times.
