26TH STREET BRIDGE TO CLOSE

The 26th Street bridge will close sometime before rush hour today and will remain closed through Saturday, the city Public Works Department has announced.

Due to the threat of Hurricane Fran last week, scheduled renovation work was delayed.

All through-traffic on Lafayette Boulevard and 26th Street will detour to Lindenwood Avenue, the existing truck detour route.
