WILLIAMS H. EPPS SR.

William H. Epps Sr., 74, of the 3400 block of Brandywine Drive, died Sept. 8, 1996.

He was the widower of Rose Mae Epps. He was a longshoreman and retired after 25 years of service. Born in Nansemond County, Va., Mr. Epps was a member of Union Baptist Church Shoulders Hill, Suffolk.

Survivors include 10 daughters, Audrey Copeland, Margie Epps, Deborah Knight, Valerie Bond, Ruth Rawles, Carolyn White, Cynthia Bunch, Velma Epps, Ella Skinner, Chondel Burnette; a stepdaughter, Shelia Jenkins; nine sons, Alphonso, Calvin Sr., William Jr., Amos Sr., Ricky, Kirk, Paul, Bobby and Marvin Epps; an aunt, Corine Richardson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. C.V. Russell in Union Baptist Church Shoulders Hill, Suffolk. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk. The family will be at Fisher Funeral Home on Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. The family will assemble at 4956 Old Pughsville Road, Chesapeake, for the procession. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
