ARAMINTA M. OVERTON

Araminta McGarity ``Mose'' Overton, of the 2900 block of Tarrant St., died Sept. 10, 1996, in Norfolk Health Care.

Born in Windsor, N.C., she was retired and a member of Macedonia Church of God in Christ, Portsmouth.

Survivors include a daughter, La-Verne Estell of Norfolk; two sons, Larry Overton of Virginia Beach, Samuel Overton of Gaithersburg, Md.; two brothers, John M. Swain of Portsmouth, Colbert C. Swain of Virginia Beach; and many other surviving relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Macedonia Church of God in Christ, Portsmouth, by Elder Taft Purkett. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Fitchett Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is handling arrangements.
