A native of Norfolk, she was a mail clerk for DFAS Government. Also, she was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, Norfolk, and Young Voices choir.
Survivors include her husband, Mr. Joseph Burroughs; three sons, Darrell, Deonte and DeSean Ackiss; mother, Gloria Ann Hosch and father, Roosevelt Ackiss; a sister, Tamara Hosch; a brother, Kelvin Ackiss; grandmother, Annie Johnson; and a host of other relatives, friends, aunts, grand-aunts and great-aunts.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Gospel Light Church of Christ Holiness, U.S.A., 7435 Evelyn T. Butts Ave., Norfolk, by Pastor Allen Clark. Family will be receiving friends and relatives at the residence, where they will assemble at noon for the procession to the church. Visitation will be at E.A. Hughes Funeral Home Inc.
