Gary Lee Cartwright, 38, of the 500 block of Millstone Road, died Wednesday Sept. 11, 1996, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
He was born in Norfolk and was the son of Robert Earl Cartwright Sr. and Shirley Mae Rhodes Oakley, both of Chesapeake. Mr. Cartwright was the owner of Cartwright Builders Inc. and co-owner of East Coast Exterminating Inc., both in Chesapeake. He attended Faith Alive Church also located in Chesapeake.
Besides his parents he is survived by his wife, Kathy Curling Cartwright; a son, John Baxter ``Boogie'' Cartwright; his sister, Beverly Cartwright Ramsey; his three brothers, Robert Earl Cartwright Jr., Danny R. Cartwright and Jimmy W. Oakley, all of Chesapeake.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge. The Rev. Bob Groves will officiate. Burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
