Percy S. Spivey, 81, of the 300 block of Viking St., departed this life Sept. 11, 1996, in Maryview Hospital.
Born in Chowan County, Edenton, N.C. on Oct. 26, 1914, he was retired. He the son of the late John Henry and Daisy Spivey, the stepson of Ruth Spivey and the husband of the late Hazel B. Spivey.
He is survived by his daughter, Martha S. Spivey Bagby; four grandchildren, Anna Bagby, Lloyd Bagby, Delorise Bagby and Gerrod Bagby; a great-grandchild, Ashley Bagby; and a stepsister, Mercedes Tabron.
A home going service will be held at noon Saturday in Hale Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
