VIRGIE L. NOBLES

Virgie Lee Nobles, 48, of the 1500 block of Campostella Road, died Sept. 11, 1996, in Chesapeake General Hospital.

She was born in Norfolk on Aug. 17, 1948, the daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth Pope Lupton. She was the wife of the late Charles B. Nobles. Mrs. Nobles was a homemaker and attended Tabernacle Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She is survived by a son, James Beales Jr. of Lynchburg; four sisters, Earlene Stanton of Virginia Beach, Ginny Hollowell and Joan Saunders, both of Chesapeake; Mary Elizabeth Lupton; three grandchildren; and a very special companion, Carl Gilbert. She was preceded in death by a son, Alton Myers Beales.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Robert Harrell. The family will receive friends for visitation in Twiford Colonial Chapel from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Twiford Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
