Rhonda Joanne Meek, 64, of the 200 block of Sir Oliver Road, died Sept. 11, 1996, in her residence.
Mrs. Meek was a native of Stanberry, Mo., where she and her sister operated the family's farms. She was a member of Ghent United Methodist Church in Norfolk.
Survivors include her husband, Capt. Kenneth L. Meek, USN Ret.; two daughters, Cynthia A. Meek of Houston and Corinne E. Heggli and her husband, Oivind, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two sons, Bryan B. Meek of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Gavin J. Meek of Fayetteville, N.C.; a sister, Betty L. Russell and her husband, Jack of Stanberry, Mo.; a niece, Roxanne Hubbard and her husband, Dr. Kevin Hubbard, of Lee's Summit, Mo.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ghent United Methodist Church in Norfolk by the Rev. H. Leroy Seibert.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Diabetes Institutes Foundation, 855 W. Brambleton Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23510. The family will be at 230 Sir Oliver Road in Norfolk. The Norfolk Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. is in charge of arrangements.
