A 19-year-old man has been charged in the July murder of a Chesapeake businessman.
Todd F. Younger of the 100 block of Allen Road was arrested without incident in the 3400 block of Fulton St., police said. He is charged with capital murder, robbery and two counts of using a gun while committing a felony.
Thomas Benvenuto, 68, who owned and operated the George Washington Mini-Mall in the 3400 block of George Washington Highway and the National Card and Gift Co., was found dead in his office early on the morning of July 30.
Police said he was killed sometime between 6 p.m. July 29 and 9 a.m. the next day, when employees found him as they arrived for work.
