Barbara Ann Hambrick, 63, of the second block of Kirby St., died Sept. 13, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
A native of Asheville, N.C., Mrs. Hambrick was a member of the Good News Baptist Church, Chesapeake.
Survivors include her husband, John R. Hambrick; her mother, Thelma G. Melton of Chesapeake; a daughter, Evelyn G. Nance and her husband, Bennie R., of Chesapeake; a son, Michael W. Sigmon, and his wife, Carol A., of Portsmouth; two sisters, Jeannette Norris of Richmond, Va., and Yvonne Moore of Chesapeake; three brothers, Phillip Melton of Norfolk, Charles Melton of Windsor, Va., and James Melton of Chesapeake; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Richard Lovingood officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel.
