Annie Roberson Mitchell, 69, of Route 1, died Sept. 13, 1996, in her home.
Mrs. Mitchell was born in Bertie County, and was the widow of James Robert Mitchell. She was a member of Ahoskie First Baptist Church and had retired as lunch room manager at Ahoskie High School.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn M. Paul of Richmond; two brothers, Melvin L. Roberson Sr. of Suffolk and Alvin Earl Roberson of Ahoskie; a sister, Katie Brennen of Clinton, Ill.; three grandchildren, Julie Overton and Kimberly Paul of Raleigh, N.C., and W. Ken Paul, U.S. Marine Corps, Parris Island, S.C.
A graveside service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday in Ahoskie Cemetery by the Rev. Thomas Lamm. The family will receive friends at Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to Roanoke Chowan Hospice, P.O. Box 272, Ahoskie, N.C. 27910.
