Milton Junior Martin, 74, of the 600 block of N. Piping Rock Road, died Sept. 12, 1996, in a local hospital.
Mr. Martin was a member of St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus 4th Degree. He participated in hospitality for St. Gregory's Catholic Church and was the manager of the food pantry.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa Martin; three sons, Charles E. Martin and his wife, Sherry, of Virginia Beach, Richard A. Martin and his wife, Marilyn, of Muttontown, N.Y., and John M. Martin of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Harold Edwin Martin and his wife, Georgiana, of Tucson, Ariz.; a niece, Connie Dudley and her husband, Dan, of Tucson; a nephew, Richard Martin and his wife, Lucy of Tucson; three grandchildren, Michael, Brian and Robert of Muttontown; other family members including Leah and Bradley Shallcross and their children, Christi, Jeremiah, Jolene, Amanda, Miracle and P.J.
A Joyful Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 1 p.m. at St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church. The family will receive friends following the service from 4 to 6 p.m. at Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel. Burial will be in Calverton National Cemetery in Bayshore, N.Y., at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Gregory The Great School Endowment Fund.
