DONALD B. POLLARD

Donald Burch Pollard, 61, of Moyock, N.C., and formerly of Chesapeake, died Saturday Sept. 14, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. Pollard was born in Newport, R.I., and was the son of P.M. Pollard of Norfolk and the late Margie LaCain Pollard. He was terminal manager for Sentry Petroleum Co., Norfolk. He was a member of the Moyock Ruritan Club; vice president of the Tulls Bay Ruritan Club; American Cancer Board; AARP and was an Eagle Scout and assistant Scout Master of Troop (NU)5, Norfolk.

Besides his father, he is survived by his wife, Edith Florence Buckbannon Pollard of Moyock; his daughter, Joyce Grimm of Moundsville, W.Va.; his two sons, Jim Kurtz of China Grove, N.C., Eric Kurtz of Marysville, Tenn.; a brother, Richard Pollard of Chesapeake; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial graveside service following the burial will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. The Rev. John Dearing will officiate. Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, is handling arrangements. There will be no public viewing or visitation.
