Catherine Carawan, 64, of the 100 block of Montford Court, died Sept. 14, 1996.
Ms. Carawan was preceded in death by her parents, Rena P. and Thaxton B. Carawan, formerly of Pamlico County, N.C. She is survived by her brothers, Jack D. Carawan of Norfolk; James C. Carawan of Virginia Beach; Reid H. Carawan of Norfolk; and two sisters, Doris C. Davis and Edna C. Hicks, both of Virginia Beach.
The family will receive friends at Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today. A graveside service will be conducted by the Rev. Bruce Carper at 2 p.m. Monday in Rosewood Memorial Park in the Garden of Prophets. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to At Home Care Hospice, 3386 Holland Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23452 or to Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad.
