Nelson B. Clark, 85, of the 600 block of Edwin Drive, died Sept. 15, 1996 in Norfolk.
Mr. Clark was born in Mecklenburg County, Va., and was the widower of Marjorie Houchens Clark. He retired as a constructional inspector from the Naval Base and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Virginia Heights Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty L. Hendericks of Virginia Beach and Dorothy Fitchett of Norfolk; a sister, Garnett Clark Paul of Orange Park, Fla.; three brothers, Drewery Clark and Randolph Clark, both of South Hill, Va., and Charlie Clark of Oxford, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Virginia Heights Baptist Church by the Rev. George T. Boyd. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, is handling arrangements.
