Dollie Webb Long, 74, of the first block of Kennedy Drive, died Sept. 15, 1996, in Portsmouth.
Born in New Castle, Va., she was a member of Temple Baptist Church; Victory Chapter (NU)16, Order of the Eastern Star; Portsmouth Moose Lodge (NU)898, Ladies of the Moose.
Survivors include her husband, Albert R. Long; a daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Paul Thacker of Chesapeake; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael R. and Kelley Long of Chesapeake; three sisters, Vivian Boone of Roanoke, Beatrice Custer of Chesapeake and Rissie Pickett of Vandalia, Ohio; two brothers, Claude S. Webb of Blacksburg, Va., and Bobby Webb of Chesapeake; a granddaughter, Morgan Rae Long of Chesapeake; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel, by the Rev. Allen L. Dooley. The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today to receive friends. Following the service on Tuesday, Mrs. Long will be taken to the Lotz Funeral Home, Salem Chapel, Salem, Va., for visitation Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Sherwood Memorial Park, Salem, at 11 a.m. Thursday.
