DOROTHY E. CHANDLER

Dorothy Elizabeth ``Billie'' Chandler, 78, died Sept. 14, 1996.

The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. E.M. Chandler, she was a former legal secretary for the U.S. government, retiring in 1982. She was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on Oct. 31, 1917, and received her formal education in Canada. She moved to the United States in 1941 and resided in Richmond, Norfolk and Virginia Beach. In 1991, she relocated from Virginia Beach to Arlington, Texas, to be with her brother and resided there until her death. She was a member of Chapter 1201 of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees Association.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, M.L. ``Chan'' Chandler, who died July 12, 1995. Survivors include her niece and family, Tanis Chandler Garrett, Coy E. Garrett of Arlington and Shana Lynn Garrett of Dallas.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Mansfield Cemetery, Mansfield, Texas. Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield, is in charge.
