Corp. Rex A. Mills, 24, of 498-A Cape Haitian, died Saturday Sept. 14, 1996.
Born in Columbia, he was a son of Paul H. and Bettie Sue Shealy Mills. Formerly of Columbia, he was a member of Central Assembly of God and had served as a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Surviving are his parents of West Columbia; his wife, Michelle Lee R. Mills; his daughter, Jessica R. Mills of Beaufort; his brother, Steven C. Mills of Greenwood; his maternal grandmother, Mattie M. Shealy of West Columbia; his paternal grandmother, Crystal Mills of Galena, Mo.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Central Assembly of God, Columbia, with burial in Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery, West Columbia. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Thompson Funeral Home, West Columbia. Memorials may be made to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Fund.
