Gus James Thomas, 83, of the 1400 block of Winslow Ave., died Sept. 15, 1996, in Portsmouth.
A native of Portsmouth, Mr. Thomas was a retired television repairman. He was a member of Greek Orthodox Church.
Survivors include nieces, Pauline McCloud, Kally Byrd, Dimitra Keyes, Katherine Matthews, Mary Thorn, JoAnn Price; and nephews, James Thomas, John Thomas, George Thomas, Angelo Thomas, Angelo Evangelo and William Evangelo.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Tom Potter. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
