Richard L. Bancroft, 93, of the 1300 block of Hoover Ave., died Sept. 15, 1996.
Born in West Virginia, Mr. Bancroft was the widower of Ethel D. Bancroft. He was a retired carpenter's helper and a member of the Church of God.
Survivors include three sisters, Sarah E. Richardson of Chesapeake, Daisy I. Burroughs of Norfolk and Rosa M. Richardson of South Mills, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. G. F. Dalton. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Graham Funeral Home.
