Charles Jennings Cox, 73, of the 3500 block of Executive Drive, died Sept. 13, 1996, in the V.A. Hospital, Hampton.
A native of Logan, W.Va., Mr. Cox was a retired salesman for Wonder Bread. He was Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo Cox; two daughters, Charlene Cox and Carolyn Kelly, both of Chesapeake; two sons, Jerald L. Cox of Rose Hill, Va., Charles David Cox of Chester, Va.; a sister, Judith Phillips of Point Pleasent, W.Va.; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Fellowship Baptist Church by the Rev. Lynn Hardaway. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in South Lawn Memorial Park, Prince George County. Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, is in charge.
