Rose Chay, 72, died on Sept. 15, 1996.
Mrs. Chay was a retired school teacher.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene; a son, Jerome Chay; a daughter, Helaine Reese; and four grandchildren.
Upon her request remains will be to Eastern Virginia Medical School. A private memorial service will be held.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
