Allen G. Saunders, 76, of the 100 block of Choate St., died Sept. 15, 1996.
Born in Norfolk, he was a machinist for the Naval Air Station and retired after 35 years of service. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, where he was a trustee, and the Olympian Sports Club. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Antoinette L. Saunders; three daughters, Jacqueline S. Terrell, Andrea S. Jones, Antoinette C. Saunders; a brother, Ralph Saunders; four grandchildren; and an uncle, James R. Bailey.
A funeral will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. E.T. Knight in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
