Esperanza Roque Gentile, 32, died Sept. 15, 1996. Born in Pasay City, the Philippines, she worked in customer service at Lillian Vernon. She was a Methodist and a member of Delta Zeta Sorority.
Survivors include her husband, David R. Gentile and daughter, Justine Gentile, both of Virginia Beach; parents, Rosalinda Arguelles Roque and Edilberto Roque Sr. of Mason, W.Va.; five sisters, Edelinda R. Hairston of Belmont, N.C., Eileen R. Buckalew and Ethel A. Roque, both of Charlotte, N.C., Elizabeth A. Roque of Raleigh, N.C., and Maria Elena A. Roque of Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers, Enrico A. Roque of Raleigh and Edilberto A. Roque Jr. of Mason; and other loving relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Kyle in Thalia United Methodist Church, 4321 Virginia Beach Blvd., Virginia Beach. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk.
