PAUL T. ROGAN

Paul T. Rogan, 69, died Sept. 15, 1996, at Brandywine Hospital, Coatesville, Pa.

He was born March 13, 1927, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Mr. Rogan is survived by his wife, Phyllis Jean (Struble) Rogan.

He was a mechanical engineer at Pierce-Phelps Inc. in Philadelphia, Pa., and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Downingtown and was also a Eucharistic minister. Mr. Rogan was a charter member of Gilbert & Sullivan Association of Chester County. He taught engineering at Philadelphia Community College. He was an accomplished tenor and had sung in many operas. He was a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Prior to working with Pierce-Phelps Inc., he worked for 25 years with Carrier Corporation in Syracuse, N.Y. He was a 1951 graduate of Penn State University, University Park, Pa.

Additional survivors include three sons, Michael Rogan of Downingtown, James Rogan and Philip Rogan, both of Norfolk; a daughter, Nancy Rogan of Boston, Mass.; two brothers, Joseph Rogan of Laflin, Pa.,Patrick Rogan of Mountaintop, Pa.; four sisters, May Slaton of Palm City, Fla., Ann Kline of Bethlehem, Pa., Elizabeth Schwingen of Planefield, N.J., and Helen Hufnagel of Mansfield, Pa. Mr. Rogan was predeceased by his parents, Edward J. Rogan and Helen (Kelly) Rogan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Ave., Downingtown, at 10 a.m. Thursday. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today in The Donohue Funeral Home, Downingtown, and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Interment will be private.
