Dorothy J. Morris, of the 800 block of Fremont St., died Sept. 14, 1996, in a local hospital. She was born in Scotland Neck, N.C.
Survivors include two daughters, Ernestine Jones and Sophorunia Morris, both of Norfolk; two sons, Samuel McGhee and James Morris, both of Norfolk; a sister, Lillian Morris of Norfolk; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Bruce McGhee, and her parents.
A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday by the Rev. George Battle in Riverside Cemetery. Graves Funeral Home is in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
