Valentin B. Daria, 56, of the 200 block of Rogers Ave., died Sept. 15, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
A native of the Philippines, Mr. Daria was a retired machinist for the U.S. Naval Repair Facility at Subic Naval Base, Philippines.
Survivors include his wife, Magdalena M. Daria; five daughters, Josephine Agustin and her husband, Chrisanto of Long Beach, Calif., Lyval Bertulfo and her husband, Roberto, of Norfolk, Cristy Daria of Long Beach, Canadia Daria and Chicas Daria, both of Norfolk; his mother, Julieta P. Bulatao; two sisters, Gloria D. Hermosilla and Evelyn D. Data; three brothers, Virgilio B. Daria, Pacito B. Daria and George B. Daria; two grandchildren, Gliezelle Bertulfo, Dominique Agustin; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Holy Trinity Catholic Church by Fr. Santiago Frias. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel.
