Minnie Ellis Chappell, 93, died Sept. 17, 1996, in Chowan Hospital, Edenton.
She was the daughter of the late Jerimiah and Ida Copeland Ellis and the widow of Titus Edward Chappell.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Oscar (Melba) Bunch of Edenton and Mrs. Sam (Joyce) Allen of Salisbury; two sisters, Thelma Weeks of Edenton and Lillian Moore of Port Arthur, Texas; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Evans Funeral Home, Edenton, by the Rev. Don English and the Rev. Edmund Ellis. Burial will be in Beaver Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and one hour prior to the services Friday. Memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.
