Edna Ruth McIntosh, 76, of Baylake Pines, went peacefully to meet her Lord Sept. 17, 1996.
Mrs. McIntosh was retired from Virginia Beach General Hospital and was second vice president of Ocean Park Woman's Club. She served as choir member and Sunday school teacher at Baylake United Methodist Church. She was born in Norfolk on May 29, 1920, the daughter of T.W. and Mamie P. Howard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie R. McIntosh.
Survivors include her children, Kathryn M. Christian and husband, Rick, Richard H. ``Mack'' McIntosh and wife, Gaile; five grandsons; three granddaughters; two step-grandsons; and 14 great-grandchildren; and many friends.
Ruth gave in life, love, hope, faith and charity and continues to follow this same path even in death, herself to cancer research. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in Baylake United Methodist Church.
