Pernell Jordan, 61, died Sept. 16, 1996.
A native of Isle of Wight County, he was a mechanic and a former member of the Christian Home Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lucy Blunt Jordan of Smithfield; daughters, Ella Taliaferro of East Orange, N.J., Patricia Eley and Annette Campbell, both of Windsor, and Diane Warren of Suffolk; sons, Pernell Brickhouse of Suffolk and Dexter Blunt of York, Pa.; a sister, Ella Mae Harris of Baltimore, Md.; brothers, Davide Jordan and R.H. Jordan, both of Baltimore, and Lenious Jordan of Newport News; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Christian Home Baptist Church by the Rev. W.M. Waller. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the funeral. Family will assemble at the home. Funeral home visitation will be from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Friday. The remains rest at Pretlow and Chapman Funeral Home, Smithfield.
