Calvin Harding ``Harding'' Wood Sr., 62, died Sept. 18, 1996, at home.
Mr. Wood was president of the North State Provision Co. and a Norfolk native. He was a member of the Ahoskie United Methodist Church, Ahoskie, and was a graduate of Chowan College.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Renfrew Wood; a daughter, Marsha Lane of Woodland, N.C.; sons, Calvin Harding Wood Jr., Atlanta, Ga., Preston Renfrew Wood of Murfreesboro, N.C.; a sister, Paige Wood Courtney of Ahoskie; grandchildren, Kelly Mizelle and Virginia Lane, both of Woodland, N.C.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at the Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, by Dr. Kenneth Hall. Burial will be in the Ahoskie Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Ahoskie United Methodist Church or to Roanoke Chowan Hospice, P.O. Box 272, Ahoskie, N.C. 27910. The family will receive friends at the home.
