Arthur Lee ``Chop Chop'' Veale of the 1500 block of Lincoln Court died Sept. 16, 1996, at a local hospital.
Mr. Veale was a retired disabled veteran and a native of Norfolk. He was a member of the New Calvary Baptist Church, Norfolk, and the Jefferson Street Association, Norfolk. He was a former member of the African Village and enjoyed drawing and painting.
Survivors include his wife, Amaza Veale; and a host of other friends and relatives.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in New Calvary Baptist Church, 800 E. Va. Beach Blvd., Norfolk, by Dr. G.G. Campbell. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The body will go into the church at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. A wake will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at 1513 Lincoln Court at 10 a.m. Saturday for a funeral procession to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service, Norfolk, is in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
