LOUISE D. BLANCHARD

Louise D. ``Lou'' Blanchard of the 2600 block of Cedar Road died Sept. 16, 1996, at a nearby hospital.

Mrs. Blanchard was a domestic worker and a native of Washington County, N.C. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, William Blanchard; a daughter, Elsie Wilkins of Greenville, S.C.; sons, William Blanchard of Fredericksburg, Va., Larry Blanchard of Dale City, Va., and Raymond Dixon of Chesapeake; sisters, Betty Monroe of Mount Vernon, N.Y., and Doris Williams of the Bronx, N.Y.; brothers, Tilmer Dixon of Chesapeake, Louis Dixon of Portsmouth and Elmond Dixon of Roper, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Norfolk, by Dr. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. A wake service will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today in the Metropolitan Funeral Service. Family and friends will assemble at 2637 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, at noon Saturday for a funeral procession to the church. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
