Mary Sudie Tisdale, 82, of the 1600 block of Ohio St., died Sept. 19, 1996, at Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital.
She was the widow of Thomas E. Tisdale Sr. A retired self-employed grocery store owner, Mrs. Tisdale was a native of Camden County, N.C. She was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Melvin Tisdale and Charles Ray Tisdale.
Survivors include a daughter, Earlene T. Cox of Chesapeake; a son, Thomas E. Tisdale Jr. of Chesapeake; a sister, Bertha Eastwood of Norfolk; brothers, Edward Morgan and Joe Morgan, both of Portsmouth; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Keith Lewis. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel.
