Lynn Ann Chiaverotti, 45, died Sept. 19, 1996, in a Richmond hospital.
She will be remembered for her devotion to family, her joy in helping others, her indomitable spirit and her humor. She was a great friend, always willing to take on the smallest or largest task.
A native of Milwaukee, Wis., Lynn graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where she was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority.
She was a special education and preschool teacher. She taught at Larchmont United Methodist Church Preschool for several years, and at schools in Milwaukee and Rockford, Ill. She was also a ``fulltime'' homemaker.
Lynn always had time. Time for the Cub Scouts and Brownies, the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters circle, the Navy Wives' Club, Meals on Wheels, Navy Family Services, time for any school project, any neighbor in need.
She was the daughter of Lois Mackey of St. Francis, Wis., and the late Kenneth Wachowiak.
Lynn is also survived by her husband of 20 years, Capt. Gary Chiaverotti, officer in charge of the Navy Inactive Fleet; her son, Matthew; and daughter, Molly, all of Norfolk; and a sister, Katie and her husband, Brian Lindblohm of Waukesha, Wis.
Survivors also include her husband's parents, Gus and Audrey Chiaverotti; her brothers-in-law and their wives, Craig and Ann Chiaverotti, Clark and Kathy Chiaverotti, Curt and Janine Chiaverotti, all of Wisconsin; and many nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Milwaukee on Tuesday.
Friends may join the family at a memorial service at Larchmont United Methodist Church in Norfolk at 3 p.m. next Saturday, Sept. 28.
In lieu of flowers, a trust fund in Lynn's name will be established to benefit head injury victims. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
